Ohio State Jumps To No. 12 In AP Top 25 Following 100-92 Win Over No. 2 Iowa
The Ohio State women’s basketball team is up to No. 12 in the country following the program’s 100-92 win over then-No. 2 Iowa on Sunday, according to the AP Top 25 released on Monday.
The Buckeyes jumped six spots up from No. 18, representing the largest jump in this week’s poll. The Hawkeyes fell to No. 5 following their second loss of the season, with No. 14 Indiana as the only other Big Ten team among the top 25.
The top of the rankings are filled by No. 1 South Carolina, which holds all 35 first-place votes, followed by No. 2 UCLA, No. 3 Colorado and No. 4 Kansas State, with No. 6 Stanford, No. 7 NC State, No. 8 UConn, No. 9 LSU and No. 10 Texas rounding out the top 10.
Ohio State opened the season at No. 7 but fell as far as No. 20 after a 10-3 start to the season, albeit with losses to UCLA, USC and at Michigan, though the Buckeyes are currently on a four-game winning streak.
