Ohio State announced the full non-conference schedule for the upcoming men’s basketball season on Tuesday, featuring several highly anticipated matchups throughout the slate.
The Buckeyes will open the season on Nov. 6 against Oakland before hosting Texas A&M on Nov. 10, followed by a contest against Merrimack on Nov. 15. Ohio State will then host Western Michigan on Nov. 19 before heading out to Niceville, Fla., for the Emerald Coast Classic from Nov. 24-25, with games against Alabama and either Oregon or Santa Clara.
Ohio State will return home to host Central Michigan on Nov. 30, and following the start of Big Ten play during the first weekend of December, the Buckeyes will host Miami (Ohio) on either Dec. 5 or 6. Ohio State’s final non-conference matchups will be against New Orleans on Dec. 21 and against West Virginia in a neutral-site game in Cleveland on Dec. 30. The Buckeyes will also take part in the CBS Sports Classic alongside Kentucky, North Carolina and UCLA, with details to be announced later in the summer.
With the full non-conference slate announced, Ohio State now knows every opponent for the upcoming season, as the Big Ten already announced the full set of conference games, with dates and times still to be determined. The Buckeyes will host Illinois, Maryland and Purdue while traveling to Iowa, Michigan State and Northwestern, with home-and-away series against Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Penn State, Rutgers and Wisconsin.
