Ohio State Men’s Basketball Drops Out Of AP Poll
After losing five of its past six games, Ohio State has fallen out of the Associated Press Top 25 rankings.
The fall, after being ranked No. 21 in last week’s AP poll, comes after splitting a pair of games — defeating Nebraska 80-68, then falling to Penn State 90-76.
The Buckeyes are now 12-6 on the season, and 2-5 in the Big Ten.
Without Ohio State in the poll, there are five teams in the top 25 from the Big Ten: No. 11 Michigan State, No. 17 Maryland, No. 19 Iowa, No. 21 Illinois and No. 24 Rutgers.
ESPN’s Joe Lunardi currently has Ohio State placed as a No. 5 seed in his Bracketology, which would have the Buckeyes going up against No. 12 Akron.
Ohio State looks to get back on track with a home matchup against Minnesota on Thursday.
