Ohio State men’s basketball is adding a home game against Towson to its 2021-22 schedule, according to a report by CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein.

The Tigers struggled this past season, finishing with a 4-14 overall record and 3-9 record in the CAA Conference. They finished their year with a 69-48 loss to Elon, who is coached by former Ohio State assistant Mike Schrage, in the CAA tournament. Elon also has former Buckeye Andrew Dakich as director of basketball operations.

Towson did have a game scheduled against a Big Ten opponent last season – a Dec. 1 matchup against Maryland – but it was canceled.

Ohio State adds Towson to a non-conference schedule that also includes games in the Fort Myers Tip-Off, which also features Florida, Cal and Seton Hall.
