The game time for Ohio State’s first Big Ten matchup of the season against Michigan State has been revealed.
After playing Marshall this weekend, the Buckeyes will head to East Lansing for a 7 p.m. game time against the Spartans, which will be aired exclusively on Peacock.
It’s the second game for the Buckeyes that will be aired only on a streaming service after the 41-7 win over Purdue last season wasn’t available on a nationally televised broadcast.
This will be the 53rd meeting between Ohio State and the Spartans, the Buckeyes with a 37-15 advantage over its conference opponent, and they have won each of the last eight games the two teams have met each other.
Michigan State’s last win in the all-time series was on Nov. 21, 2015, when it beat the Buckeyes 17-14 in a game which J.T. Barrett had just 46 passing yards in a 9-for-16 performance with one touchdown to Jalin Marshall, while Ezekiel Elliot ran for 33 yards and a touchdown of his own.
Ohio State had no problems with the Spartans last season when they came to Columbus for a 38-3 win in which Kyle McCord threw for 335 yards and three touchdowns. Michigan State’s only points were scored with a 53-yard field goal in the second quarter.
Before that, Ohio State will have to get past Marshall at noon on Sept. 21, televised on FOX for the Big Noon Kickoff time slot. Other game times known are the 7:30 p.m. start against Oregon on Oct. 12 on NBC and the noon kickoff against Michigan on FOX on Nov. 30.
