Ohio State Names Players Of The Game After 24-10 Win Over Wisconsin
After the Buckeyes beat Wisconsin 24-10 on the road in Camp Randall Stadium, Ohio State has named players of the game, recognizing TreVeyon Henderson, Tommy Eichenberg, Jack Sawyer and Cody Simon.
Henderson was the offensive player of the game, coming back from his injury with 207 yards from scrimmage on 24 rushes and four catches, along with a 33-yard touchdown that took the game out of reach for the Badgers in the fourth quarter.
He brought back the explosiveness that the Ohio State offense had been missing in its run game since the game in South Bend against Notre Dame.
With seven tackles, three of them solo, Eichenberg was named co-defensive player of the game along with Sawyer, who had a big part in stopping Badgers running back Braelon Allen from running all over the field.
Allen finished with 10 carries for 50 yards, and wasn’t able to find the endzone, largely due to Sawyer stuffing him at the 1-yard line and forcing Wisconsin to settle for a field goal at the end of the first half. Sawyer finished the game with six tackles, five of which came in the first half to stop Allen, and one forced a fumble that cornerback Davison Igbinosun would recover.
A consistent contributor this season in special teams, Simon was recognized as the special teams player of the game after the win.
