Ohio State Offers Offensive Linemen In 2026, 2027 Class
Ohio State offensive line coach Justin Frye has received some criticism in recent weeks for his performance on the recruiting front, most notably after losing out on Providence (N.C.) Day School five-star offensive tackle David Sanders Jr. (6-6, 290) to Tennessee on Aug. 17, but that has not stopped him from continuing to fortify future classes for the future.
Ohio State and Frye offered two offensive linemen on Wednesday, one in the 2026 class and another in the 2027 class, both of which have seemingly strong upside as they go through their respective high school careers.
Starting with the 2026 class, the Buckeyes extended a scholarship to Brandenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star interior offensive lineman Breck Kolojay (6-6, 300). Kolojay is tabbed as the nation’s 244th-best prospect, 18th-best interior offensive lineman and 44th-best player out of Florida in his class, and has piqued the interest of several notable high-profile schools in recent months.
Kolojay currently has 30 offers from Division schools, including Alabama, Auburn, Colorado, Florida, Georgia,, Kentucky, LSU, Miami (Fla.), Michigan, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee and Texas, among others. According to 247Sports, the offensive tackle visited several of those schools this summer, including his hometown Colorado — he is a native of Denver — on June 1, Michigan on June 5, Georgia on June 20 and most recently Tennessee on June 21.
Kolojay is the 10th offensive tackle Ohio State has offered in the 2026 class, a group that includes Nixa, Mo., five-star Jackson Cantwell (6-8, 300) and Rockville (Md.) five-star Imanuel Iheanacho (6-7, 345), the No. 1 and No. 2 offensive tackles in the class, respectively. Iheanacho participated in one of Ohio State’s recruiting camps in June and told Eleven Warriors that the one-day session was “great.”
Ohio State’s 2027 offer went out to Coatesville (Pa.) Area offensive tackle Maxwell Hiller (6-5, 295), who is unranked by 247Sports Composite but considered a four-star prospect and the nation’s 20th-best prospect and third-best offensive tackle by 247Sports’ standard score.
Despite being just a high school sophomore, Hiller has received some noted interest from Division I schools. He currently holds eight offers, seven of them from Power Four schools, including Maryland, Oklahoma, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, West Virginia and the Buckeyes. The only Non-Power Four school to offer him so far is Kent State.
Hiller, who is expected to be the top-ranked tackle out of Pennsylvania when rankings for his class are released, is the first offensive tackle Ohio State and Frye have offered in the 2027 recruiting cycle.
In other recruiting news, Loganville (Ga.) Grayson four-star 2026 linebacker Anthony Davis (6-2, 200) included Ohio State in his top 12 on Wednesday, putting the Buckeyes alongside Auburn, Oklahoma, Colorado, USC, Clemson, Penn State, Texas, Michigan, Tennessee and Oregon.
Davis, the nation’s 240th-best prospect and 21st-best linebacker in the class, attended one of Ohio State’s recruiting camp in June — where he told Eleven Warriors he learned a lot from linebackers coach James Laurinaitis — and plans to take a trip to Columbus for Ohio State’s Nov. 30 contest against Michigan.
While Davis included Ohio State in his narrowed list, the Buckeyes were left out of Draper (Utah) Corner Canyon five-star wide receiver (6-2, 210) final three, which he announced on Wednesday and includes Texas A&M, Utah and USC. Myles, who will commit on Sept. 18, was offered by Ohio State in July but never visited Columbus.
