Ohio State-Oregon To Kick Off At 7:30 P.M. On NBC
The game time for the Buckeyes’ first Big Ten matchup against Oregon has been revealed.
Ohio State’s Week 7 game against the No. 6 Ducks is officially slated for a 7:30 p.m. eastern kickoff time on Oct. 12 and will be televised on NBC.
It will be the first time the two teams face off against each other as conference opponents after the four new teams were welcomed into the Big Ten over the offseason and Ohio State will travel to Eugene, Ore., for the game.
The last time OSU played Oregon was on Sept. 11, 2021, when the Ducks beat the Buckeyes in Ohio Stadium 35-28, the first time they ever came out on top of a matchup between the two teams. C.J. Stroud was 35 of 54 passing the ball in the loss with 484 yards and three touchdowns to an interception, 145 of those yards and two touchdowns going to Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
Previously, Ohio State had won the first nine games of the series, leading all-time 9-1, including the Buckeyes last win on Jan. 12, 2014, in the first College Football Playoff national championship game, winning 42-20. They were led by third-string quarterback Cardale Jones in the win, who threw for 242 yards, one touchdown and one interception while Ezekiel Elliot ran the ball 36 times for 246 yards and four touchdowns.
Before this year’s game against Oregon, the Buckeyes will have to get past Iowa at Ohio Stadium on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. on CBS.
The only other OSU game time that has been revealed this season is the noon kickoff against Michigan on FOX Nov. 30.
