Penn State’s road trip to Ohio State on Oct. 21 is set for a noon kickoff on FOX, the Big Ten announced on Monday, with Ohio Stadium set to “Scarlet the Shoe” against the Nittany Lions.
It will be the third consecutive noon kickoff for Ohio State, with the Buckeyes hosting Maryland at noon this past week and set for a noon kickoff at Purdue on Saturday.
FOX also revealed that “Big Noon Kickoff” will be in attendance at Ohio Stadium. The Buckeyes are 8-2 when hosting Big Noon Kickoff and has an overall record of 12-3 when “Big Noon Kickoff” is covering one of the Buckeyes’ games, with losses coming against Oregon and Michigan in 2021 as well as the Wolverines last season.
It should be one of the most anticipated games of the season, with both Ohio State and Penn State ranked in the top six of the most recent AP Top 25, with the potential for a top-five matchup should both teams make it through this next week unblemished.
While the Nittany Lions have mostly been competitive with the Buckeyes in recent years, Ohio State does bring a six-game winning streak against Penn State into the upcoming contest.
