As expected, Ohio State remained No. 2 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings, with only No. 1 Oregon ahead of it.
After the Buckeyes beat Indiana 38-15, the Hoosiers dropped to No. 10, still with a chance to make the playoffs. Replacing them at No. 5 is Notre Dame, with No. 3 Texas and No. 4 Penn State staying where they were last week.
But there were other major changes in the rankings with Alabama, Ole Miss and BYU all losing over the weekend. The rest of the top 12 consists of No. 6 Miami (Fla.), No. 7 Georgia, No. 8 Tennessee, No. 9 SMU, No. 11 Boise State and No. 12 Clemson.
However, since there is no Big 12 team in the top 12, No. 16 Arizona State would be in ahead of the Tigers as Big 12 champions, with BYU falling to No. 19 after its second loss of the season, this one 28-23 over the weekend against the Sun Devils.
The Crimson Tide and Rebels fell to No. 13 and 14, respectively.
Along with the four Big Ten teams in the top 10 is Illinois at No. 23 this week, up two spots from where it was the week before.
Here are the full rankings, with just two more to be revealed this season, one on Dec. 3 after the Buckeyes play Michigan, and one on Dec. 8, the Sunday after conference championships are played.
