After an off week, Ohio State remains at No. 3 in the AP poll, but there was some movement with Texas making the jump to be the No. 1 team after now-No. 2 Georgia struggled to get past Kentucky in a 13-12 win.

Finishing out the top 10 are No. 4 Alabama, No. 5 Ole Miss, No. 6 Tennessee, No. 7 Missouri, No. 8 Miami (Fla.), No. 9 Oregon and No. 10 Penn State.

USC represents the Big Ten at No. 11 along with No. 18 Michigan, which dropped one spot after beating Arkansas State just 28-18, Nebraska at No. 22 and No. 24 Illinois.

There were no major movements in the standings this week with the Nittany Lions taking the biggest fall from No. 8 to No. 10 in a week where they were off.

The Hurricanes swapped places with Penn State, tied for the biggest jump in the rankings with MAC representative Northern Illinois now at No. 23, following up its upset over Notre Dame in Week 2 with an off week.
