Ohio State is reportedly hiring Virginia Tech offensive coordinator Tyler Bowen to be its new offensive line coach after Justin Frye left for the NFL earlier in the week.
Bowen has been with the Hokies for three seasons and has also coached the tight ends and quarterbacks as well as led the offense. Before that, he spent one season as the tight ends coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars and three years with Penn State as the offensive recruiting coordinator (2018-2020) and offensive coordinator (interim in 2019, co-OC in 2020)
His last time with the title of offensive line coach was in 2017 with Maryland after coaching the front five for Fordham in the two seasons prior.
But now he will be back to leading an offensive line with the Buckeyes and will look to continue the success that Frye had with his unit in the 2024 season.
