Ohio State Running Back Evan Pryor Reportedly Plans To Enter Transfer Portal

According to a report from On3, Ohio State redshirt sophomore running back Evan Pryor plans to enter the transfer portal with three seasons of eligibility remaining.

Pryor is in his third season at Ohio State, though he has played sparingly in his three years with the Buckeyes. He played in just four games during his freshman season, rushing 21 times for 98 yards, and missed all of last season with a knee injury.

He continued to be out this past spring as he continued to recover from the injury but was back to full strength by the time the season began. But with TreVeyon Henderson, Miyan Williams, Chip Trayanum and Dallan Hayden all ahead of him on the depth chart, Pryor rushed just 19 times for 49 yards this season, appearing in four games.

Pryor’s departure is a blow for Ohio State’s depth at running back, as the Buckeyes still face questions around whether Henderson, Williams and Trayanum – the latter both seniors – will return next season, with Hayden the only other scholarship running back on the roster.
