Ohio State Slips To No. 2 In College Football Playoff Rankings

After two weeks at the top of the College Football Playoff rankings, Ohio State dominated in a 38-3 win over Michigan State, which apparently wasn’t enough to keep them at the top.

No. 1 Georgia’s 52-17 win over then No. 9 Ole Miss was enough to knock the No. 2 Buckeyes out of first in the rankings. The Bulldogs have won 27 straight games after their win, and match their spot in the AP Top 25 Poll. No. 3 Michigan and No. 4 Florida State round out the top four, the same those spots were last week. The first two teams out are No. 5 Washington and No. 6 Oregon. Also representing the Big Ten are No. 12 Penn State and No. 16 Iowa

Rounding out the top 10 are No. 7 Texas , No. 8 Alabama, No. 9 Missouri and No. 10 Louisville. The Buckeyes match up against Minnesota Saturday, one week before they head to Ann Arbor to face off against the Wolverines. No. 25 Kansas took the biggest tumble, falling nine spots after falling to unranked Texas Tech 16-13. Iowa was the biggest riser, moving up six places after shutting out Rutgers in a 22-0 win.
