Ohio State Sophomore Guard Madison Greene Is Unavailable Against Purdue
Sophomore guard Madison Greene is listed as unavailable for Ohio State’s game against Purdue Thursday, according to a status report released by the program.
The status report does not specify the reason for Greene’s absence, but it does come after Sunday’s announcement that the Buckeyes’ game against Northwestern was postponed “due to a presumptively positive (COVID-19) test during the pre-game testing window,” according to an Ohio State release.
In an availability with the media Wednesday, head coach Kevin McGuff was asked if his team would be full strength for the Purdue matchup, and he said that it would not be, but did not specify further.
Greene is third on Ohio State in scoring with 13.4 points per game, while also leading the team with 4.3 assists per game. She is shooting 42.7 percent from the field, 35.1 percent from three, and is tied with Braxtin Miller for the team lead in steals with 26.
