Ohio State Tight End Jeremy Ruckert Will Return To The Buckeyes For Senior Season
Ohio State is getting a big piece of its offense back in 2021 with the announcement that tight end Jeremy Ruckert is returning for the Buckeyes next season.
“I am very blessed and fortunate to have the opportunity to declare for the 2021 NFL Draft, however after talking to my family, my coaches, and those close to me I still think I have goals not yet achieved, so much more to prove, and more to give to this University,” Ruckert wrote in the tweet. “So with that being said, I will be forgoing the opportunity to declare for the NFL draft. I will be graduating this summer, and coming back to play my senior season at The Ohio State University.”
In his first three seasons with Ohio State, Ruckert has tallied 28 receptions for 306 yards (10.9 yards per catch) and nine touchdowns, and has continued to improve dramatically as a blocker.
Ruckert may be the only major returning member of the tight end room with both Luke Farrell and Jake Hausmann being seniors, though both could return with this year’s eligibility rules.
