Saint Louis (Mo.) Christian Brothers College four-star wide receiver Jeremiah McClellan (6-0, 190), one of Ohio State’s top remaining targets in 2024, has set a commitment date.

The highly touted wideout will announce his college of choice on Aug. 13, deciding between Georgia, LSU, Missouri, Ohio State and Oregon. While the Buckeyes – who offered McClellan last fall – have been viewed as a favorite in his recruitment, he has also seen a push lately from Missouri and Oregon, offering some intrigue as his commitment date approaches.

“With Ohio State it’s all about Coach (Brian) Hartline, Coach (Devin) Jordan and Coach (Ryan) Day,” McClellan told On3. “They prepare wide receivers for the NFL which is a big factor. They win, they feature their guys and they get receivers to the league.”

He took official visits in recent weeks to LSU (June 2), Ohio State (June 9) and Oregon (June 23), and has made several previous stops to Columbus. McClellan is the No. 108 overall prospect and No. 18 receiver in the class. He had 61 receptions for 1,103 yards and 13 touchdowns last season, building on a sophomore season in which he totaled 41 catches for 989 yards and nine touchdowns.

Ohio State already has a pair of five-star receivers committed in Opa Locka (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Prep’s Jeremiah Smith (6-3, 198) and Mylan Graham (6-1, 170) of New Haven, Ind. The Buckeyes also recently offered Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas four-star wide receiver Chance Robinson (6-2, 190), who Ohio State will attempt to flip from his current commitment to Miami (Fla.).
