Ohio State added to its program on Monday, with the official signing of 6-1 guard Daria ‘Dasha’ Biriuk, as announced on the team’s Twitter page. Biriuk is from Berdiansk, Ukraine and committed to the Buckeyes on Sept. 20 from a list of three finalists, including Mississippi State and Vanderbilt.
Biriuk is a four-star prospect, who attends the Webb School, in Bell Buckle, Tenn., and is currently ESPN HoopGurlz’s No. 74th-ranked prospect. Ohio State head coach Kevin McGuff briefly addressed the signing in a statement released to the team’s Twitter page.
“We are extremely excited to add Dasha to our program,” McGuff said. “She’s a terrific player who will immediately impact our ability to score the ball from the perimeter.”
