Recruiting: Ohio State Hosts 10 Official Visits First Weekend Of June
For the first of four straight weekends when Ohio State will be hosting official visits for 2025 recruits, the Buckeyes have 10 prospects on campus.
The uncommitted players on campus are Duncanville, Texas, five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore (5-11, 175), McKinney, Texas, four-star linebacker Riley Pettijohn (6-2, 205), Orlando (Fla.) Jones four-star wide receiver Vernell Brown III (5-11, 170), Cincinnati Winton Woods four-star defensive end Justin Hill (6-3, 220), Cleveland Villa Angela-St. Joseph four-star running back Bo Jackson (6-0, 205), Lucas (Texas) Lovejoy four-star wide receiver Daylan McCutcheon (5-11, 175), Fort Worth (Texas) North Crowley three-star interior offensive lineman Henry Fenuku (6-4, 295) and Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy three-star interior offensive lineman Kaden Strayhorn (6-3, 295).
Ohio State will also bring two recruits to Columbus who have already committed with Vero Beach, Fla., four-star linebacker Tarvos Alford (6-2, 210) and Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic four-star safety DeShawn Stewart (6-2, 185) both making an official visit as well.
Moore, the third-ranked player in the country and the No. 1 overall wide receiver in the class, recently decommitted from LSU, and while Texas is currently viewed as the favorite to land him by many in the industry, Brian Hartline has won some tough recruiting battles before and can’t be counted out.
Jackson is one of many running backs Carlos Locklyn has been targeting this cycle and while he has long been predicted to remain in his home state, the Buckeyes will need to beat out Georgia, which has been going after him hard as well.
On the offensive line, Ohio State only has Toledo Whitmer four-star Carter Lowe (6-5, 290) committed in the 2025 class so far, but the Buckeyes have been going hard after more this offseason. While Fenuku and Strayhorn will be on campus this weekend, all eyes are looking forward to the weekend of June 21-23 when Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day five-star offensive tackle David Sanders Jr. (6-6, 270), the No. 2 overall recruit in the country, makes his third visit to Ohio State.
