Recruiting Outlook: Buckeyes Extend Offers At Spring Game, 2026 Prospects Set Commitment Dates

With many prospects on campus last weekend for the Buckeyes annual spring game, a few offers were extended to those recruits from the OSU coaching staff, most of those going to players in the 2027 class.
There was one player who received an offer in the 2026 class, with defensive lineman Jamir Perez leaving with a scholarship offer in hand. He is unranked by 247Sports composite, but has 20 Division I offers, and has since lined up an official visit with the Buckeyes on June 20.
In the 2027 class, Ohio State offered defensive end Cameron Pritchett, tight end Judah Lancaster and safeties Gavin Williams and Isala Aisa Wily-Ava on April 12.
Pritchett also has 20 Division I offers currently, including a few from Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Maryland, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Penn State, Tennessee and d Texas, among others.
Lancaster, who plays his high school football at IMG Academy, currently boasts 30 offers with some from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Washington and Wisconsin.
Williams hails from California and is also already receiving significant interest from Power Four programs around the country like Alabama, Auburn, Maryland, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Oregon, Tennessee, UCLA, USC and Washington.
Wily-Ava is also from California, playing at St. John Bosco, and has received 19 Division I offers to this point, including some from Florida State, Georgia, Maryland, Notre Dame, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, USC and Washington.
The Buckeyes are also in the running for two 2026 prospects who have set official commitment dates, with five-star offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell ready to announce his decision on April 30 and five-star safety Bralan Womack waiting until Aug. 23 for his announcement.
Cantwell would be a gigantic add for the Buckeyes offensive line class that is already off to a very good start with Maxwell Riley, Sam Greer and Tucker Smith pledged to Tyler Bowen. However, with Cantwell choosing between Georgia, Miami, Oregon and the Buckeyes, OSU seems to be very unlikely to earn his commitment.
The five-star OT has an official visit set to go to Oregon on April 26, which seems to give Dan Lanning and the Ducks a big advantage in the process.
For Womack, however, the Buckeyes don’t seem to be out of the running by any means, even with five-star Blaine Bradford already in the class along with four-star Simeon Caldwell. OSU has been pursuing Womack for a long time and will be one of his four official visits. He also plans to go to Auburn, Florida and Texas A&M, waiting until he sees all of those schools to make his final decision.
Landing Womack would solidify safeties coach Matt Guerrieri as a great recruiter for the Buckeyes even more so after landing Bradford and Caldwell in the 2026 class and Faheem Delane in the 2025 class.
