Seven Buckeyes Remain In Contention In NFL Playoffs, Conference Championship Weekend
The NFL’s conference championship week is approaching, and seven former Buckeyes remain in the hunt for an appearance in Super Bowl LVIII on Feb. 11.
The Kansas City Chiefs will visit the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship game at 3 p.m. on CBS on Sunday, followed by the Detroit Lions at the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game at 6:30 p.m. on FOX.
The Chiefs’ roster does not feature any former Buckeyes, but the Ravens’ roster includes linebacker Malik Harrison and running back J.K. Dobbins, the latter on the injured reserve. Harrison is coming off a season-high five tackles in Baltimore’s win over the Houston Texans last week, and he also forced a fumble in the victory.
The 49ers hosting the Lions will feature the largest collection of former Ohio State players, as San Francisco’s roster boasts defensive ends Nick Bosa and Chase Young – who each recorded three tackles last week in their win over the Green Bay Packers – while the Lions’ roster features offensive linemen Jonah Jackson and Taylor Decker, and long snapper Jake McQuaide, though Jackson is not expected to play after undergoing surgery for a meniscus tear.
