Ohio State football was well-represented at the university commencement ceremonies on Sunday, with seven current and former Buckeyes earning their diplomas.
Linebackers Steele Chambers (finance) and Tommy Eichenberg (real estate) headlined the current Buckeyes to complete their undergraduate degrees, with safety Kourt Williams II (communications) and defensive tackle Jaden McKenzie (human development and family sciences) also earning their diplomas.
Former Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields, currently entering his third season with the Chicago Bears, also graduated on Sunday in consumer and family financial services. While with the Buckeyes, Fields led Ohio State to a pair of Big Ten titles and College Football Playoff appearances. Fields continued his coursework, even after entering the NFL, through the Ohio State Department of Athletics degree completion program.
Former long-snapper Bradley Robinson was the lone graduate to complete a master’s degree after spending seven years in college — including six at Ohio State — while studying health and exercise science.
Former OSU punter Michael O’Shaughnessy, who transferred to Michigan State on Feb. 8, also finished out his undergraduate degree at Ohio State, earning his diploma in consumer and family financial services.
In total, 191 Ohio State current and former student-athletes graduated on Sunday.
