Ohio State sophomore forward Cotie McMahon continues to select preseason honors, as she was named an AP preseason All-American honorable mention on Tuesday.
McMahon – also named preseason All-Big Ten and to the watch list for the Cheryl Miller Award, given to the best male or female player in college basketball – averaged 15.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game last season while shooting 51.0 percent from the field.
She was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year and was also recognized as an All-Big Ten second-team selection, and was named to the All-Big Ten Freshman Team and All-Big Ten Tournament Team while becoming a six-time Big Ten Freshman of the Week.
