With just 10 days to go until their last practice, the Buckeyes have finally officially decided on a format for what it was calling the “Spring Showcase” on April 12.

After head coach Ryan Day said multiple times that Ohio State wanted to have a spring game depending on the health of the team, it was made official by the program that the event on April 12 will be a spring game, changing the name from the “Spring Showcase” to the Spring Game.

Day seemed confident that would be the case on Monday when he met with the media.

“I just wanted to mention the plan is for us still to play the spring game,” Day said. “We’ll continue to look at the health throughout this week and into next week, but the plan is to have a game format on the 12th, which will be great and then so we could have a lot of different things going on that day.”

Tickets are on sale for the game with general admission prices starting at $8 with reserved seating available starting at $20 and club seating starting at $35. Ohio State students are able to get into the game for free by showing their BuckID at the gates.

Day also said that after the game, the team will host their annual “Saddle Up” event at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center, which will be an NIL fundraiser that includes live country music, dancing, live and silent auctions and the second annual “Run ffor the Scarlet and Gray” horse race with celebrity jockeys. The event will run from 6-10 p.m. and tickets will start at $250.

“It’s a great night to not only celebrate the championship, but also raise money for NIL,” Day said. “April 12 will be a great day here.”
