With All-American lists continuing to churn out through the early weeks of December, a trio of Ohio State football players landed on the Football Writers Association of America’s list Friday.
Second-year wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. and third-year offensive tackle Paris Johnson Jr. both earned first-team selections while fourth-year linebacker Tommy Eichenberg landed a second-team designation from the FWAA.
Harrison hauled in 72 passes for 1,157 yards and 12 touchdowns during the Buckeyes’ 12-game regular season, landing a spot as a Biletnikoff Award finalist, a trophy given annually to the nation’s best pass-catcher.
Johnson allowed just 10 pressures and one sack from the left tackle position, helping pave the way for an offense that finished No. 2 in the nation in scoring and No. 6 in total yardage.
Eichenberg piled up a team-high 112 tackles, the most by an Ohio State player since Raekwon McMillan collected 119 takedowns in 2015. He added 12 tackles for loss and 2 1⁄2 sacks to that total.
