Ohio State picked up its seventh commitment of the 2026 class and its third offensive lineman in the month of March when Glendale (Ariz.) Sandra Day O’Connor three-star interior offensive lineman Tucker Smith (6-5, 280) pledged his services to the Buckeyes on Wednesday.

His commitment comes just a day after Akron Hoban four-star offensive tackle Sam Greer (6-7, 310) committed to the Buckeyes and just over two weeks after Avon Lake, Ohio, four-star offensive tackle Maxwell Riley (6-5, 280) did so, making it a very impressive offseason for new offensive line coach Tyler Bowen already.

Smith is the No. 844 player in the country, the No. 72 interior offensive lineman and the No. 12 player in the state of Arizona according to 247Sports current composite rankings. He has offers from 12 Division I schools but decided Columbus is where he wants to be.

He received his scholarship offer from Ohio State just five days before his commitment when he was on campus for a visit during spring practices.

The Buckeyes will continue to try to fill out the offensive line in its 2026 class, still looking to add players like five-star offensive tackles Jackson Cantwell and Felix Ojo, five-star interior offensive lineman Darius Gray and four-star interior offensive lineman Micah Smith, among many others they have shown interest in.
