Ohio State gained its 10th commitment in the 2026 class on Friday when Lewis Center (Ohio) Olentangy three-star linebacker CJ Sanna (6-3, 225) pledged to the Buckeyes.
Sanna, the No. 449th ranked player overall, No. 35-ranked linebacker and No. 20 ranked player out of Ohio, had several power four offers, including those from Miami (Fla.), Oklahoma and Wisconsin.
In his senior season at Olentangy, Sanna recorded 97 total tackles, including 11 for loss. Sanna is Ohio State’s ninth top-500 commitment from the 2026 class and is the fifth player to commit since Sam Greer did so on March 25.
With Sanna’s commitment, Ohio State’s 2026 class is starting to take shape on the defensive side of the ball. Sanna is one of four defenders to commit to the Buckeyes, joining top-100 safeties like Blaine Bradford and Simeon Caldwell and four-star cornerback Jakob Weatherspoon.
