Top Ohio State 2025 OT Target David Sanders Releases His Top Four, Will Commit August 17
Ohio State’s top offensive lineman target Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day School five-star David Sanders Jr. (6-6, 290) has released a top four and set his date for when he plans to commit as Aug. 17.
The four teams in his top choices are Ohio State, Georgia, Nebraska and Tennessee, four schools he visited in the spring.
If the Buckeyes and Justin Frye are able to secure a commitment from Sanders, it would be the first from an elite offensive lineman prospect since they got Donovan Jackson, who was the No. 19 overall player in the 2021 class according to 247Sports composite ranking. Sanders is the second-best player in the 2025 class behind just LSU commit Belleville (Mich.) five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood (6-4, 205).
Sanders took his official visit to Ohio State on June 21 and visited multiple times in the spring, and multiple different Ohio State commits have been trying to get him to come to Columbus as well, like Bellefontaine, Ohio, five-star quarterback Tavien St. Clair (6-4, 225).
“We are very close,” St. Clair said on June 11. “I’m in contact with him all of the time. I really just check up on him. Even though he’s on his other official visits, I’m just making sure he knows (Ohio State) is still in the mix. My relationship with David is really special. I elaborate to him all of the time that he’d make our class that much better. We have the No. 1 class in the country right now, but we’re trying to have the No. 1 class when it finishes up. We want the best player to play for the best team. He’s the best player in the country and that’s why I’m pursuing him so hard.”
