Former Ohio State linebacker Tuf Borland will join fellow former Buckeye Luke Fickell at Wisconsin as a graduate assistant for the Badgers during the 2023 season.
Borland, who is listed with a defensive focus in regard to his GA position, will reunite with Fickell, who recruited Borland and coached him for his freshman season as the Buckeyes’ defensive coordinator and linebackers coach before taking the head coaching job at Cincinnati.
Borland was a three-time captain at Ohio State, amassing 229 tackles (19 for loss), 6 1/2 sacks, two forced fumbles and an interception during his time as a Buckeye. Following his collegiate career, Borland signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent, where he spent the 2021 season on the practice squad before being released prior to the 2022 season.
Fickell and Borland will get a crack at their alma mater when the Buckeyes travel to Madison, Wis., to take on the Badgers on Oct. 28.
