Before the Buckeyes left Ohio for Pasadena, Calif., quarterback Will Howard was feeling the giving spirit of the holidays. He showed that by gifting 130 TVs to his teammates for Christmas as a partnership with an electronics brand.
The Ohio State football Twitter account posted a video of Howard telling the team that he was giving them each 55-inch TVs on Friday.
āIt felt great to give my teammates something they can enjoy off the field,ā Howard said. āWeāve all been grinding, and this is a fun way to show appreciation for the effort we put together.ā
Howard is coming off of one of his best performances as a Buckeye, throwing for 311 yards and two touchdowns in Ohio Stateās 42-17 win over Tennessee in the first round of the College Football Playoff.
Now he and the Buckeyes are in Pasadena preparing for a rematch against undefeated Oregon in the Rose Bowl. That game will be Wednesday, Jan. 1, beginning at 5 p.m. on ESPN.
