ESPN’s College GameDay is heading to Iowa City for No. 5 Ohio State’s showdown against No. 14 Iowa next Saturday. The pregame show will broadcast live from 9 a.m. to noon, leading into a 3:30 p.m. kickoff at Kinnick Stadium.

It’s the second time Ohio State has been featured on GameDay this year, as it went to Austin for the Buckeyes and Longhorns game, which Texas claimed 24-23 on a 20-point comeback.

GameDay hasn’t been to Iowa City in 20 years, when it was last there for Ohio State’s 38-17 victory over Iowa in 2006. Ohio State hasn’t played at Iowa since 2017, when the Hawkeyes upset the No. 5-ranked Buckeyes 55-24. Ohio State outscored Iowa 89-17 in its last two matchups with the Hawkeyes in the Horseshoe in 2022 and 2024.

It also marks Ohio State’s 70th overall appearance on College GameDay, which is the most of any team.

Iowa is coming off a wild 20-19 victory over then-No. 18 Michigan, where the Hawkeyes won on a final-second 14-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Hank Brown to wide receiver Reece Vander Zee to claim victory.
