A second Ohio State freshman has shed his black stripe at the Buckeyes’ fall camp.
Defensive end Khary Wilder had his black stripe removed following Ohio State’s Saturday practice, becoming one of two freshmen that day to earn the distinction, alongside quarterback Luke Fahey.
Wilder was a four-star recruit out of Junipero Serra in Gardena, Calif., ranking as the No. 52 overall recruit and the No. 3 defensive end in the class of 2026, according to the 247Sports Composite.
Wilder is the fifth freshman to have shed his black stripe since the start of spring camp, joining receivers Chris Henry Jr. and Brock Boyd, who shed theirs in the spring, and Fahey and cornerback Jay Timmons, who shed theirs in the fall.
