In an article on the Big Ten’s media rights deal, Scott Dochterman of The Athletic reported that Ohio State’s game against Indiana will be broadcast on Fox, while the Oregon game will be broadcast on CBS.
The Big Ten, which currently has a media rights deal signed with Fox, CBS and NBC, uses a draft to determine which games will be broadcast by its three partners. Fox has the first three picks of the draft and selected Michigan vs. Ohio State, Ohio State vs. Indiana and Oklahoma vs. Michigan. CBS selected Oregon vs. Ohio State with the fourth overall pick before NBC selected Penn State vs. USC with the fifth overall pick.
This would mean the Buckeyes’ Oct. 17 contest against the defending national champion Indiana would likely kickoff at Noon with play-by-play announcer Gus Johnson and analyst Joel Klatt on the call.
If the Buckeyes’ Nov. 7 game against Oregon is on CBS, it will likely be played at 3:30 p.m. with play-by-play announcer Brad Nessler and analyst Charles Davis on the call.
As of now, the only Ohio State games with times announced are the Ball State game on Sept. 5, which will be played at 12:30 p.m. on Big Ten Network, the Texas game on Sept. 12 at 7:30 p.m. on ABC, the Kent State game on Sept. 19 at noon on Fox and the Michigan game on Nov. 28 at noon on Fox.
