Ohio State had three players named to the 2026 Walter Camp Preseason All-America teams, with wide receiver Jeremiah Smith and quarterback Julian Sayin earning first-team recognition, while offensive lineman Austin Siereveld landed on the second team.
Sayin was one of the best quarterbacks in the nation as a freshman in 2025, leading the Buckeyes to a 12-2 record, while throwing for 3,610 yards and a 32-8 touchdown-to-interception ratio.
The Carlsbad, Calif., native also led the nation with a 77.0 completion percentage, setting Ohio State and Big Ten records, ranking third in FBS history in the category. Sayin was also named a Heisman Trophy finalist in 2025 and earned Big Ten Freshman of the Year honors.
Smith has been nothing short of dominant since stepping foot in Columbus as a freshman in 2024. He has totaled 163 catches for 2,558 receiving yards and 27 touchdown catches over two seasons with Ohio State.
Smith also became just the second in Ohio State history to record multiple 1,000-yard receiving seasons and will look to become the first to do it three times in 2026. Former Buckeye wideout Marvin Harrison Jr. had back-to-back 1,000-yard receiving seasons in 2022 and 2023.
Siereveld had previously earned preseason All-American honors from Phil Steele and Athlon before earning the recognition from Walter Camp.
The 6-5, 325-pound offensive lineman started in seven of 16 games on Ohio State’s way to the national championship game in 2024, before earning a full-time starting role in 2025, when he started in all 14 games for the Buckeyes.
