Ohio State guard Luke Montgomery, center Carson Hinzman and guard/offensive tackle Austin Siereveld were named to the Outland Trophy preseason watch list on Tuesday.
All three Buckeyes landed on the preseason watch list for the first time, helping Ohio State become one of just three schools — along with Oregon and Texas Tech — to have three linemen recognized.
Ohio State returns one of the nation’s most experienced offensive lines after the unit helped pave the way for one of the country’s top offenses in 2025. Ohio State surrendered just six sacks during the regular season before allowing 10 takedowns of quarterback Julian Sayin between the Big Ten Championship and the College Football Playoff quarterfinal.
Montgomery is coming off a breakout junior campaign in 2025, starting all 14 games and totaling 870 snaps between offense and special teams. He was named an AFCA Second-Team All-American and took home Second-Team All-Big Ten honors for his efforts.
As a sophomore, Montgomery appeared in all 14 games, making two starts while stepping into a larger role during the Buckeyes’ run to the 2024 national championship.
Hinzman started all 14 games in 2025, playing 841 total snaps en route to an AFCA First-Team All-American nomination and a third-team All-Big Ten selection.
The veteran center has been a mainstay on Ohio State’s line throughout his career, making 12 starts in 13 games at center as a redshirt freshman, before appearing in 14 games with nine starts at both center and guard in 2024.
Siereveld rounds out the Buckeye trio after emerging as one of the conference’s top linemen in 2025. The 6-5, 325-pound lineman started all 14 games at left tackle as a redshirt sophomore, totaling 810 snaps on his way to second-team All-Big Ten.
Siereveld previously appeared in all 16 games as an interior offensive lineman in 2024, making seven starts and logging 577 snaps.
The Outland Trophy is awarded annually to the nation’s top interior lineman. Four former Ohio State linemen have won the award: Jim Parker (1956), Jim Stillwagon (1970), John Hicks (1973) and Orlando Pace (1996).
